This is a very busy time for us.

On the 4th of August Pistachio gave birth to six lovely kittens . We decided to go with a nut theme for the litter so named them Peanut, Monkey, Filbert, Macadamia, Pecan and Hazel.

On the 26th of July Annie gave birth to four kittens. Unfortunately one died after one day and the third was n't feeding off Annie. Our fosterer decided the best thing to do was to try and hand rear the third kitten. We settled into a routine of Annie taking care of the two boys Warbucks and Ickles, while Mollie was bottle fed by her foster mum.

We have been alerted to an area in Sunderland with a large number of cats living in the backstreets. We were expecting a feral colony, but in fact most are friendly. We've currently taken in 9 cats, including two heavily pregnant queens.

Gillian Connor is currently ill in hospital. Update 13/05 - Wonderful news - Gillian has now come out of hospital and is on the mend. She would like to thank all her well-wishers.
